What is ICBT?
At Breaking Barriers, we practice ICBT - Intensive Collaborative Behavior Therapy(TM), a new standard of care that combines the science of ABA with a play-based, child-led, and neuro-affirming approach. Our team partners with you and other professionals to help your child grow in communication, independence, and meaningful relationships.
ICBT builds on the science of ABA, but it goes further. It is collaborative because your child’s therapy team works together with speech, OT, and you as the parent. It is intensive because care is consistent, structured, and intentional. It is joyful because sessions are driven by play and your child’s interests.
Instead of focusing only on reducing behaviors, ICBT focuses on unlocking your child’s voice, development, and relationships.

At Breaking Barriers, we do not just manage behaviors - we nurture your child’s potential. Our ICBT-certified team creates a therapy plan that adapts to your child’s needs and interests.
Sessions feel like play, but every moment is intentional - supporting communication, independence, and emotional growth in the places where life actually happens.
We collaborate with parents, caregivers, educators, occupational therapists , speech therapists , and other professionals so your child gets the right therapy at the right time, with everyone working together toward the same goals.
Parents are trained and supported throughout the process, so progress continues at home and across settings - not just during sessions.
Why Choose Breaking Barriers?

We are one of the first ICBT Certified Facilities in the nation, bringing families a new standard of care rooted in the science of ABA and delivered through a more collaborative, child-centered model.
2. Playful and Proven
Therapy is playful, child-led, and proven effective. We use your child’s interests and natural motivation to support communication, independence, and emotional growth.
